Meet Dr. Elyassi

How are LUMINEERS® different than traditional veneer procedures?

Lumineers are unique in that they are contact lens-thin (approximately .2 mm) and super translucent. Traditional veneers are fused or bonded to teeth and generally, your dentist will need to grind down the tooth for veneers (other than Lumineers) to fit well. Since Lumineers are so thin, little to zero tooth reduction is necessary. In addition, they resists micro-leakage and micro-cracking.

Can LUMINEERS be taken off if I want them removed?

Yes, Lumineers are completely reversible. This is largely due to the zero reduction in sensitive tooth structure so that your natural teeth are still intact and strong.

Are anesthics or numbing shots needed when intacting LUMINEERS?

Sinces there is zero grinding, cutting or filing of teeth (almost all cases), anesthetic or numbing shots are usually not needed. Plus, you will not have to experience any uncomfortable temporaries that required while you wait for your Lumineers to be created. Once the procedure is completed, there is zno post-placement discomfort or sensitivity, which means they will look natural and feel comfortable from the start.

How long will LUMINEERS last?

Lumineers have unparalleled longevity. Clinical testing has proven that Lumineers procedures lasts and looks great for over 20 years. LUMINEERS BY CERINATE also offers a 5-year Warranty for replacement at no charge. Dr. Elyassi can inform you of the details as certain restrictions do apply.

Are there any other LUMINEERS?

No. LUMINEERS can only be made from Cerinate porcelain. This revolutionary porcelain is crafted through a proprietary process unavailable anywhere other than Den-Mat® Corporation; one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of professional dental materials. Our lumineers are used with the certified placement method.

I think I need braces, but I really don't want to go through the inconvenient, unsightly and time-intensive process.
Can I get LUMINEERS instead?

In most cases, yes. Dr. Elyassi will be able to evaluate your teeth and decide whether orthodontics is necessary. If you do not have a severe problem, Lumineer can change the shape and alignment of your teeth; making them look straighter and more uniform.

With LUMINEERS, do I need to use a special toothpaste or floss a different way?

Lumineers are similar in structure to real tooth enamel. Consequently, you should always try to choose a low-abrasion toothpaste that will remove plaque, stain and tartar gently but effectively.

With LUMINEERS, can I still chew gum and eat my favorite sticky foods like candy or apples?

There are no limitations as to what you can eat or drink since Lumineers are placed over your original teeth in the most durable way possible. However, you should continue to visit every 6 months for a check-up and cleaning to keep your Lumineers in good condition and to qualify for the Warranty.
